How long does recovery last?
The surgical procedure is carried out with no overnight stay and lasts approximately two to three hours.
What will my face look like immediately after surgery?
Initially, there will be some bruising and swelling. The swelling will subside within a week, and, in another, the bruising will likely be gone. Bandages are removed within two days, and stitches can be removed within one to two weeks.
How long is the recovery period?
You can return to your normal daily activities, including work, within a week. Any intense exercise should be postponed for at least four weeks, while exposure to the sun should always involve using a high-protection index sunscreen.
How long will the facelift results last?
Around 10 to 15 years. Some of our patients decide to repeat the procedure when this period has passed, but most find it unnecessary.
Will the operation leave any scars?
No. There is usually no visible scar after healing is complete. The incisions follow the natural folds of the skin and, once healed will fade, leaving a very inconspicuous incision line that becomes virtually invisible after healing.
