Is Buccal fat pad removal painful?

No. The operation is performed under general or local anesthesia, and the procedure is pretty much painless.

How long does the procedure last?

The operation takes approximately 30 – 60 minutes to perform unless it is part of a series of additional facial rejuvenation procedures. You can return home on the same day to begin your recovery process.

What happens immediately after surgery?

After the operation, your doctor will show you how to tend to your incisions. You may need a specialty mouthwash solution to assist with the healing. For a day or two, you may need to eat exclusively soft foods. Slight swelling of the cheeks may occur. All this will gradually fade, and your recovery will be complete in about 15 days.

How soon will I be able to see the results?

The first results will appear within a few days. After three weeks, they will be clear for all to see.
