Dr Elias Moustakis is a graduate of the Aristotle University School of Medicine. He is a specialist in Reconstructive and Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and a Member of the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (EBOPRAS).
He developed his specialty by gaining extensive experience at the Jerusalem Hadassah University Hospital in Israel, a medical institution considered the leading Tertiary Trauma Center of its kind throughout the Mediterranean. He then joined the Thriasios Plastic Surgery Clinic and the Latsio Burn Center staff of surgeons. After that, he pursued his postgraduate training in Therapeutic and Cosmetic Medicine in Italy.
He has extensive work experience as a plastic surgeon and scientific advisor of plastic surgery in public and private clinics in Greece, Cyprus, and Israel. He is one of the first plastic surgeons in Greece to apply the innovative VASER® 4D Hi-Def liposculpture method. He is also an instructor of the practice in Greece and abroad.

Dr Moustakis is a regular attendee and speaker at notable international medical conferences. He has participated in numerous research projects, and his studies have been featured at Reconstructive and Aesthetic Plastic Surgery conferences in Greece and abroad. He is always at pace with the latest developments in his specialty, applying the most modern techniques and pioneering plastic surgery methods.
His career began in 2005 when he started working in General Surgery - General Medicine and Cardiology at the General Hospital of Alexandroupolis. He offered his services at the Alexandroupolis Hospital until the summer of 2020.
2017 - 2021
During the period 2017-2021 he worked as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon and Partner Plastic Surgeon at the Department of Plastic Surgery of Thriasio Hospital and the Latseio Burn Centre.
It is the only Department of Plastic Surgery in Greece that includes a tertiary Burn Centre with its own ICU, Intensive Care Burn Unit and Surgeries.
2011 - 2021
During the period 2011-2021 he worked in a private practice in Nicosia/Cyprus. This was a position involving consultation with private aesthetic and reconstructive patients, regular and emergency outpatient clinics, surgical rooms.
2009 - 2010
In 2009-2010 he was a resident physician at Hadassah/ Jerusalem Plastic Surgery Department. Hadassah University Hospital is a Stage 3 Trauma Center.

From January to May 2009 he was Assistant Physician at the Clinic of Plastic Surgery of the General Clinic of Kallithea/Attica.
2008
In 2008 he worked at the 1st Surgical Clinic at the 251 General Hospital of Athens Air Force.
2006 - 2007
From 2006 to 2007 he worked at the General Hospital of Thebes in the Department of General Surgery.
2005 - 2006
In 2005-2006 he worked as a Regional Doctor at the Alexandroupolis Hospital and at the Health Center of Soufli.
